Andre Briffa of Launceston Church Grammar School Tasmania – Winner of Australasian Auctioneering Schools Championship for 2017
This was the second year of the Australasian Schools Auctioneering Championship held in conjunction with the Australasian Real Estate Institutes’ Auctioneering Championships. The aim is to introduce students to the world of real estate and making it a first choice career.
The 2017 Australasian Schools Auctioneering Championships was won by Andre Briffa of Launceston Church Grammar School, Tasmania. Bailee Ha of Roma Mitchell Secondary High School, South Australia, who has English as her second language, won the encouragement award. The other finalists were Jake Tanner of Temple Christian College, South Australia, Amy-Lee Hay of Meningie Area School, South Australia and Jordan Culham, Melba College Croydon, Victoria.
The Real Estate Institute of Australia, the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand and all of the state and territory Real Estate Institutes around Australia are determined to make the Schools Auctioneering Championship a “must see” event in 2018 and beyond.
