REIA is led by a board of directors who guide the strategic direction and policy goals of the organisation. The board works with the CEO and an experienced management team to achieve outcomes for the institute and its members.

The board consists of one representative from each state or territory, nominated by the respective state or territory Real Estate Institute.

Neville Sanders, REIA President

Neville Sanders_head shot_web_250px.ashxMr Sanders is a third-generation estate agent and has been actively involved in real estate for over 48 years. He became a Member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria in 1971 and joined the REIV Board in 2006.

Currently, Neville is the general manager of Whittles Australia, is an REIA Fellow, an REIV-accredited owners’ corporation manager, vice chairperson of the REIV Owners Corporation Chapter committee and a qualified valuer.

Hayden Groves, Deputy President (WA)

Mr Groves owns real estate business, Dethridge GROVES since 2004, after having worked as a successful sales representative for the firm for many years. Mr Groves is REIWA Deputy President, President of the Real Estate Employers’ Federation WA.

Diane Davis, Board Director (NT)

Diane Davis v2Diane is the President of Real Estate Institute of Northern Territory and has been a fully Licensed Real Estate Agent for 22 years. She now holds the position of Branch Operations Manager of Elders Real Estate. Diane is passionate about the industry and is an Industry Representative Member on the Agents Licensing Board (ALB) as well as President of the Real Estate Industry Board of Management, Deputy Chair of the Territory Housing Appeals Board and Commissioner of Oaths NT. In her spare time, Diane enjoys reading a good book  and travelling, particularly on the water.

 Joseph Walton, Board Director (REIV)

Joseph is a passionate property professional with vast knowledge and experience in all sectors of the property market, encompassing the sale and leasing of commercial, retail and industrial properties, in addition to residential sales. Joseph has worked extensively with government departments, publicly-listed entities, charitable foundations and high-net-worth private individuals.  As such, Joseph’s depth of experience and demonstrated abilities continue to prove that he works to an exemplary standard in all fields of endeavour.  Joseph is a director of Melbourne based commercial agency Allard Shelton Pty Ltd and is a fully licenced estate agent.  Additionally, Joseph is a Director of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria and commercial property portal

Greg Moulton, Board Director (SA)

Greg Moulton Pres REISAGreg began selling residential real estate with a prominent boutique agency in 1992 before moving to other industries and climbing the management ladder. In 2004 he become CEO of Brock Harcourts and helped build the company network from three to 38 offices in 36 months. In 2014 Greg moved to Harris Real Estate as CEO.  He has held extensive training and facilitator roles over the years with the Real Estate Institute, Adelaide Football Club, First National Real Estate Network and Invisage School of Management. He is also an esteemed auctioneer and had performed 100+ auctions per year for four successive years. He also completed an MBA in 2003.  As well as committing himself to the Real Estate Institute, Greg has also sat on the Boards of the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers, Sturt Football Club and Brock Harcourts SA.

Stan Platis, Board Director (ACT)


Stan Platis has been an REIA Board Director since 2004. He has been involved in the real estate industry for over 19 years and is currently the Regional Sales Director for Independent Property Group, in Canberra.  Stan has been a Councillor of the Real Estate Institute of the ACT (REIACT) since 1999, becoming Vice President in 2000 and Deputy President in 2002.  From 2002 to 2005, Stan was President of REIACT and currently sits as a Board Director of REIACT. In 2006 Stan won the Community Service Award recognising outstanding community service contributions at the REIA National Awards for Excellence.  In that same year he was also awarded an Associate of the Real Estate Institute of Australia (AREI) and in 2010 was recognised for his services to the industry and was awarded a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of Australia (FREI).

  John Cunningham, Board Director (NSW)


A person of great integrity, highly respected and a consummate professional, John commenced his career in Real Estate in 1977 with a very simple philosophy—to establish business relationships built on trust.  Opening Cunninghams Property in 1991 with his wife, Ann, John integrated this philosophy into the burgeoning business consisting of 3 offices on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and a team of 60.
Since then, John’s innovative and personal approach coupled with his expertise and intimate knowledge of the market, have set Cunninghams as a benchmark business in the industry. His team has become one of the most highly awarded by the Real Estate Institute of NSW and the business is recognised throughout Australasia for its ‘Best Practice’ systems and operations. John has been a Director of the REINSW since November 2005 and is currently President of the REINSW.

Adrian Kelly, Board Director (Tas)

Adrian has worked in the Tasmanian real estate industry since leaving high school in 1990. He is the proprietor and CEO of View Real Estate which has six sales and property management offices in Tasmania. Adrian is a board member of the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania as well as the immediate past president having served in that role for four years since 2010. He also sits on the Property Agents Board which is the regulatory authority in Tasmania and is an Associate of the REIA.

 Christopher Mourd, Independent Board Director

Christopher is the Head of Real Estate for the LJ Hooker Group. He is responsible for managing and growing LJ Hooker’s Australian commercial and residential networks. His extensive industry knowledge, insight and broad property background spans almost two decades.  As an alternate director to the LJ Hooker Franchise Board, and as a Director of LJ Hooker Commercial Sydney, Christopher’s local experience is augmented by invaluable and extensive exposure to the overseas property arena as an international property consultant in North America and the South Pacific.
